History remembers the powerful.
But the truth of any era lives in ordinary people—their work, their families, their struggles, their voices. Without these stories, we forget the experiences—the tragedies and triumphs—of the everyday person upon which society is built.
Life Writing Studio exists to bring these life stories of everyday people into the light and to build a space where they are valued, shared, and preserved.
Whether you join our community to write your own story, to read the stories of others, or simply to listen to the developing archive of past stories, you are part of a growing community that believes every life deserves to be remembered.
We started Life Writing Studio because:
we believe it's important to share the life stories of the everyday person
we want to help life writers avoid some of the pitfalls they may encounter
we realise the average non-celebrity will have difficulty making the world aware of their story
we want to lower the barrier to people telling and publishing their life stories
